Corr & Associates Spatial Planning were retained in conjunction with Smith and Kennedy Architects and Broadmeadow Healthcare Management, to facilitate in the delivery of a 93 bed nursing home facility on lands at Riverstick, Co. Cork. The application consisted of revisions to a previously approved 88 bed nursing home.

The proposed amendments to the nursing home development were designed in accordance with the highest HIQA Standards as set out in the “National Quality Standards for Residential Care of Older Persons”.

Corr & Associates Spatial Planning were retained to provide strategic planning advice to the Client and Design Team and to undertake a formal pre-planning consultation in respect of the proposal which consisted of a review of relevant planning policy, the architectural design as well as a variety of environmental considerations.

We prepared and co–ordinated detailed reports and provided a robust planning rationale and justification for development by addressing compliance with the detailed provisions of the Fingal County Development Plan and relevant Guidelines.

The proposed development was designed to support the achievement of all relevant requirements of the Cork County Development Plan and the Riverstick LAP.
