CWPA, a leading firm in planning, design, and architecture, has announced the launch of its new Healthcare Design division. The launch was celebrated recently during a client appreciation event at the costal Shoreline Hotel in Donabate, North Dublin.

Speaking at the event, CWPA Managing Director Fran Whelan highlighted the firm’s dedication to senior care living, stating, “We have a proven track record as design specialists in senior care living and are committed to creating thoughtful, comfortable, and safe environments for older persons. With our extensive expertise in senior care planning, design, and project management, we understand the critical importance of meeting the unique specifications required for senior care living.”

The event also served as an opportunity to thank clients, consultants, and colleagues from across the planning, architectural, and environmental disciplines. During the evening, Whelan introduced Helena Moore, CWPA’s newly appointed Health Care Specialist Advisor, who shares the firm’s passion for the careful design and planning of nursing homes and independent living spaces.

“We are thrilled to welcome Helena to our team. Her extensive experience and heartfelt dedication to senior healthcare in Ireland align perfectly with our mission to address the impending shortage of nursing home facilities for our senior community members,” said Whelan.

Helena Moore expressed her enthusiasm for her new role, stating, “I am immensely excited about the transformative potential of the healthcare platform at CWPA. My passion for excellence and commitment to dignified living environments align with CWPA’s ethos, and I eagerly anticipate collaborating on new developments that will drive positive change within the industry.”

Moore’s commitment to global healthcare extends beyond borders, with contributions to rebuilding projects in Eastern Europe, Africa, Dubai Healthcare Authority and the Ministry for Health UAE. Her focus on creating sustainable care environments that prioritise independence and dignity perfectly complements CWPA’s vision for unparalleled care standards.

Helena holds a Postgraduate Bachelor’s degree in Nursing Studies from Dublin City University, alongside multiple certifications in healthcare regulation, infection control, gerontology, management, and training. Additionally, she possesses a Graduate Diploma in Nursing Practice and qualifications in allied areas such as infection control and dementia care.

CWPA is also closely aligned with the University of Stirling in Scotland, renowned for its extensive research in dementia, aging, and elder care. With this knowledge, CWPA’s meticulous planning ensures that every space is tailored to meet the unique needs of its residents. Their approach guarantees environments that not only comply with but exceed Irish health standards and best practices for elder care.
