We look forward to creating a space that not only meets the functional requirements of a modern airport but also integrates aesthetic elements that make it a landmark in architectural design.”
Terminal 3 will play a crucial role in expanding the airport’s capacity to handle up to 70 million passengers annually. Dublin Airport is a vital gateway for Ireland’s connectivity, and as air travel continues to grow, it’s essential to have the infrastructure in place to meet future demands. Terminal 3 is not just a building; it’s a strategic investment in Ireland’s connectivity and in the efficiency of Dublin Airport. This expansion will not only accommodate the increasing number of passengers but also enhance the overall travel experience.
The vision for Terminal 3 extends beyond passenger numbers; it emphasises responsible growth and sustainability, recognising the importance of balancing the increasing demands of air travel with environmental responsibility. Terminal 3 will be a flagship project, demonstrating that airports can significantly expand their capacity while minimising their environmental footprint. An important aspect of the project is to set new standards for eco-friendly aviation infrastructure. From energy-efficient systems to smart waste management, Terminal 3 will embrace innovative technologies and practices that align with our commitment to the environment.
This collaboration between CWPA and Ulick & Des McEvaddy marks a milestone in the firm’s portfolio and adds to its legacy of contributing to the architectural environment. As planning and design begin, CWPA is dedicated to working closely with all stakeholders to ensure that Terminal 3 at Dublin Airport becomes a symbol of efficiency, innovation, and aesthetic appeal.
