On this International Women’s Day, CWPA Planning & Architecture proudly celebrates the remarkable contributions of the women who have played pivotal roles in shaping our practice. Among them stand Roisin Corr, Shyamalima Buragohain, and Jyotsana Daswani, each with their own unique journey and invaluable impact.
Shyamalima Buragohain, with her background in architecture and urban design, embodies a deep-seated passion for her craft. With a blend of creativity and technical expertise, Shyamalima finds joy in the transformative power of architecture. From awe-inspiring buildings to masterplan developments, she has left her mark on significant projects, including a power plant design in Kilshane, North Dublin, the masterplan for Manorlands in Co. Trim, the large residential development design for Baldoyle and the T3 Master Plan at Dublin Airport. For Shyamalima, architecture is not just a profession; it’s a means to create spaces that resonate with people, promote inclusivity, and leave a lasting impact on society.
Jyotsana Daswani, with her BA in architecture and fine arts, brings a unique perspective to her work. Driven by a childhood passion for drawing and designing buildings, Jyotsana has been involved in a wide range of architectural projects, both large-scale and small-scale. From residential to commercial endeavours, she infuses her designs with creativity and meticulous attention to detail, enriching the built environment and enhancing the experiences of those who inhabit it.
Roisin Corr, a Planner at CWPA, reflects on her path with a sense of fulfilment and dedication. Achieving a degree in Spatial Planning from the Technological University of Dublin, Roisin embarked on her professional journey over four years ago. From her early fascination with geography and business during secondary school to her current role at CWPA, Roisin’s is hungry to continuously learn and adapt new skills and she relishes dynamic challenges. In her role, Roisin has been involved in diverse projects ranging from Large Residential Developments(LRD) to commercial planning applications, finding immense satisfaction in the moments when she can help clients realise their dreams.
