It is with deep sadness and a heavy heart that we share the news of the sudden and untimely passing of our dear friend and fellow Director, Vinnie (Vincent) Convery.
Vinnie was a key member of CWPA Planning and Architecture, and formerly WCA Architects, for over 27 years. He had a particular passion for school design, delivering numerous extensions and refurbishments, culminating in the completion of the new St. Oliver Plunkett’s Primary School — one of the largest of its kind in Ireland. He also made a lasting contribution to the healthcare sector through his work with the HSE, designing health centres, clinics, and nursing homes.
Despite a busy and demanding professional life, Vinnie devoted much of his personal time to Fingal Ravens G.F.C., where he served as Club Treasurer, coach, and mentor. Through this work, he helped nurture and inspire countless young players across North County Dublin.
His warmth, humour, gregarious nature, and ever-present spark of mischief left a lasting impression on all who knew him. He will be deeply missed by everyone who had the pleasure of working with him and calling him a friend.
Our thoughts, prayers, and heartfelt condolences are with his wife Ann, daughter Aoife, and son Eoin at this very sad and difficult time.
Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
